This information came from www.idobi.comNovember 2, 2003 Made Clothing have announced a partnership with NIKE to manufacture a limited run of Nike Dunk shoes. The clothing company, started by Good Charlotte's Benji and Joel Madden, will manufacture a limited edition run of 100-300 pairs of Made branded sneakers. While some will be available for purchase, most will be auctioned for charity or given to bands that the company sponsors. Made Clothing will also set aside some sneakers for donation to charities such as Amnesty International. Update: While there is debate as to the position of Nike (and Converse, which Nike purchased in 2002) and sweatshops, no organization supports a boycott of the company. Nike Watch, an organization that monitors Nike to ensure that workers making Nike products are paid a full-time wage, do not encourage a boycott because it will only result in workers losing their jobs. Nike Watch has also stated that Nike has "made significant progress in the areas of environmental health and safety" for their workers.
